VQiPS Resources
Through the VQiPS (Video Quality in Public Safety) initiative, public safety practitioners, Federal partners, manufacturers, and representatives of standards making bodies are working to improve the way in which video technologies serve the public safety community. In 2008, the OIC (Office for Interoperability and Compatibility) within the CID (Command, Control and Interoperability Division) partnered with the PSCR (Public Safety Communications Research) program to form the VQiPS Working Group, which gladly acknowledges the entities and organizations that directly contribute to its efforts.
Produced by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation)’s Operational Technology Division, this demonstrative scenario (original page here: Caught on Camera, Best Practices for CCTV Systems) illustrates the use of CCTV systems for maximum effect.
