VQiPS Reports
In 2009, DHS/OIC (Department of Homeland Security/Office of Interoperability and Compatibility), in partnership with the PSCR (Public Safety Communications Research) program, began hosting VQiPS (Video Quality in Public Safety) meetings at the U.S. Department of Commerce Boulder laboratories. These events convene a wide range of participants, including local, state, and Federal representatives from law enforcement, fire-rescue, and emergency medical services. Representatives from non-profit research institutions, academia, and industry also attend.
The events bring together public safety video users from various disciplines to discuss their challenges and to identify solutions that are not application-specific, but instead focus on common elements across disciplines.
