Public Safety Statement of Requirements

The PSCR (Public Safety Communications Research) program led development of the first-ever public safety communications requirements efforts to help industry align its research and development with the needs of emergency responders. These requirements have been referenced numerous times in efforts related to emergency communications needs for day-to-day, task force, and mutual aid operations.

• The Public Safety Statement of Requirements identifies minimum requirements for wireless and wireline audio, video, and network data communications.

• Several research reports support the performance parameters specified in the Public Safety Statement of Requirements.
